The hand-held device emits an extremely short, calibrated intense pulse of light. The light energy is absorbed by the melanin in the hair follicle and suppresses hair’s re-growth to leave skin soft, smooth for up to 3 months.
LumaSmooth is effective on all skin types except very dark skin and on all hair types except grey, white, red and light blonde hair.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD LUMASMOOTH BE USED?
Our studies have shown LumaSmooth provides significant hair reduction after only a single treatment. For first time users of LumaSmooth, re-treat areas every two weeks for three treatments until desired results are achieved.
For best results, repeat a treatment session whenever you notice hair starting to regrow, this is because hair grows in 3 different phases and only hairs in the anagen (growth) phase are susceptible to treatment.
